This is something I've always struggled with. Many a time I write many quick, small sql queries, especially when testing, and sometimes the queries are broken for many reasons. I don't understand why one broken query should prevent running another one that is perfectly valid... Maybe there is a reason but would it not be possible to actually relax this condition to let me run the valid query? This would be so helpful.

Of course, the code has not been formatted the way I wanted. There should be 4 spaces before the @param's in the examples.

Such a feature has been on my mind for a long time. It would make a lot of development effort so much more bearable with respect to dynamic SQL. Turning code into DSQL manually is very often not fun at all (not to mention tedious and error-prone), especially dealing with quotation marks is a pain. I try to use the CHAR function as much as possible if I have to embed single quotation marks into the string and would expect to see any good solution around DSQL to do the same. Looking at monstrosities like ''''''a'''''' is not fun. Could Red Gate, please, have a look at this?

I'd like to add to it. In Visual Studio there is a way to actually select a block code based on its semantics. What's more, one can repeatedly press the same key (can't remember which one at the moment) and the selection will expand appropriately highlighting only the semantically valid piece of code. This, in fact, is an awesome feature as it enables you to not only select a valid chunk of code but also makes it easy to see where the pieces start and end. For SQL that would be a killer feature based on the fact that query tuning very often consists of copying part of code and making multiple copies of it with slight variations to compare one to the other.

Please, please, please add indent line guides. This is sooooo important when the code spans several pages... Sometimes it's really hard to keep track of the indentation levels. Also, a related topic would be to add user-defined guides so that we could easily see the 80-char, 100-char, and 120-char boundaries. My shop has a rule that at least 95% of the SQL code should be kept within the 80-char boundary but to see the guides we have to install SSMSBoost... Just for this one feature. It would be awesome if SQL Prompt let you specify the boundaries and displayed them.
