ComparisonOptions.xml should be easily shared and checked-in for each project
Having to set up as described in the link below isn't very nice at all.

This should be a standard (easily-accessible) setting that you can have on a per-project basis (not a per developer basis) so that you don't have to worry about individual machines.

"Checking the ComparisonOption.xml file in source control is easy enough. However, if i unlink and re-link I have to "know" to go to the working base folder and update from source. I then have to close SSMS and reload. This is not going to go over well with my development teams. I hope there are plans to have it automatically retrieve the ComparisonOptions.xml from source if it already exists and use it before comparing source and database."

I agree.
That had to be on a per-project basis.And also I don't understand how that file can be retrieved on developer machine automatically from TFS repository!
Get Latest tab doesn't provide that feature.Please, RedGate, provide some example.
