Initializing of static table content
Initializing of static table content, ie global options, tables which contain type information
1 voteI do not understand this suggestion. Are you looking to source control the contents of a table? E.g., static, reference or lookup table content. If so, please vote/comment on this suggestion, http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39019-sql-source-control/suggestions/457874-source-control-data-data-folder-is-blank-?ref=title, which also explains the workaround for using SQL Data Compare Pro to do this until we implement this in SQL Source Control.

Two databases linked to same image, not synch'ed
Have the same db on multiple servers. Updated it on one, when to the others, not showing as different even after refresh.
1 voteI’ve added a new suggestion for this (http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39019-sql-source-control/suggestions/1154535-notification-that-you-are-out-of-date-as-other-use) – currently, you need to go to “Get Latest” to see changes.

Make connected database more obvious in UI
Because this product can execute DB changes in bulk, it is essential to highlight clearly the connected database (particularly if it is a Production instance!).
1 voteWe do NOT recommend linking production databases to source control. Changes should be made on your development instance that is linked to source control. These changes should be deployed to your other environments (Test > Staging > Production) using SQL Compare.
FYI – Have you heard about our NEW SSMS Integration Pack, http://www.red-gate.com/products/ssms_integration_pack? If you have SQL Compare, this is a free tool that allows you to deploy changes quickly from SSMS.
If you want, you can comment/vote on the following suggestion:
Indication of current server / database in source control pane would be useful, http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39019-sql-source-control/suggestions/464497-indication-of-current-server-database-in-source- -

I’m sorry, but we don’t understand this request. Changes should NOT be auto-committed. They require review first and a comment should be entered along with the commit. If you are still having problems, could you please provide more details on what you were trying to do, what the stored proc looked like before you made the change, and what the actual change was? If you could send a copy of the before and after scripts to support@red-gate.com that would help us reproduce the problem so we can investigate your issue more.
Thank you!

Kindel/Books integration
Since we (DBA/DEV types) have either a load of SQL books floating about, as well as book marks into good SQL sites. We also use the snipets manager in SQL Prompt it would make sense for there to be a connection to bookmarks in books/websites as we use intellisense or snipetts. Likewise have a postback to the forum of 'good bits' into the Snippets repository. From the respository we need an RSS feed on new stuff.
1 voteThis is a SQL Prompt feature request. If it’s still relevant, please add it as a suggestion in the SQL Prompt uservoice forum at https://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/94413-sql-prompt

linking static data doesn't show changes in commit tab
This is more a bug than suggestion. I'm using SQL SC 2.0.3.13 against VSS 8.0.50727.42.
Apparently, checking tables to be linked is having no effect except that the same tables are checked when I return to the link data screen. Nothing appears in the commit tab.1 voteThis should work if you are using SQL 2005 or above. Please vote on http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39019-sql-source-control/suggestions/456019-support-sql-server-2000 if you need 2000 support.

Error: System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.
After linking a database an error is generated when I try to move to the "Get Latest" or "Commit Changes" tab.
1 voteRyan, we’ll contact you directly to check over a couple of things relating to this error. Thanks!

bug - closed other SSMS still get can't open error msg about multiple copies being open
received message that source control was disabled because multiple copies of SSMS were open. Closed the other copy but source control would still not open.
1 voteHi,
SQL Source Control only checks this on SSMS startup, so you would have to start a SSMS without any other instance of SSMS open in order to have SOC available. -
outofmemoryexception
issue when adding a table with static data to SVN. Gives a System.OutOfMemoryException error.
Created a new SVN folder and re-linked to the new folder. I then setup the static data one-by-one (apart from the table with the large amounts of static data). All of them worked fine. I then added the table with the large static data and I still got the OutOfMemoryException. Please advise on what can be done.1 voteSidharth, if you are still experiencing this issue can you please email support@red-gate.com with the details and we will try to help.

SQL Source Control toolbar named 'Red Gate'
I think the toolbar should be named something other than 'Red Gate' - all the other RG toolbars have meaningful names : 'SQL Search', 'SQL Tab Magic'
1 voteSQL Source Control is the first application to use a single Red Gate toolbar and the other tools will follow suit as new versions are released.

Open script in new query window option
The differences at the bottom of the commit/get tabs is really cool, but sometimes the script is just too big to look at it in that tiny space. It would be cool if I could right click and there was an option to open this script in a new window. Right now, I right-click, select all, copy, then open a new query window and paste it in.

Allow me to sort the history by clicking on the column header (author, comment, etc.)
If you look at the history to select a specific version it could be useful to make the grid sortable (on version, date, author, comment DESC/ASC) .
Then we could sort based on the comment, this would allow to search for specific '5.1' tag or 4.2 tag..

Auto-init new Mercurial repository
Currently during the link procedure if I just create a new folder and point to that the link will fail with "abort: There is no Mercurial repository here (.hg not found)!" what is fair enough (and "Open Command Prompt..." helps a lot) but I think it would be great it SQL Source Control can automatically resolve this by creating a repo on its own.

viewhistory doesn't work anymore!
Oh, boy. At least after the last update (V 3.4.9.265) the function "View History" doesn't work anymore: it only displays:
"No history available for this database"
:-(

option to lock objects instead of creating new versions
Using TFS as source control, when more than one person is working on the same object (procedure) it causes multiple files to be created. Would like an option to resolve conflicts instead of creating additional versions in the source control.
