Hi,
This is normal git behaviour (see, for example, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6218199/git-commit-with-no-commit-message).

you get something like this when you choose a valid file to commit.
Command:
git commit -F "C:\Users\blah\AppData\Local\Temp\2\afz5fae3.yxh.txt" -o "c:\valid database folder\\"Output:
Aborting commit due to empty commit message.Exit code:
1
