Support SSMSE (SQL Server Management Studio Express)
I can't install because I am forced to cancel the installation. It refuses to install because it says SSMS is required... while I have SSMSE installed.

We currently support SSMS 2005,2008 , and 2008 R2 connecting to SQL Server 2005, 2008, or 2008 R2 databases. (We currently do NOT support any SSMS Express editions.)

I'm trying to work out precisely what is going wrong for you. Are you encountering an error message in the installer which says: "Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 2005/8 or SQL Server Management Studio Express (SSMSE) 2008 required"?
If so, then please make sure you have SSMS 2005, or SSMS 2008, or SSMSE 2008 installed on your machine. Please note that we do not support SSMSE 2005 (and if that's the only version of SSMS/SSMSE that you have installed then SQL Source Control will refuse to even install). Furthermore we have done very limited testing with SSMSE 2008. We highly recommend that you use SSMS 2005 or SSMS 2008 (i.e. not an express edition) if at all possible.
