  4. Allow multiple searches in many search tabs.
I want to search two different things and have the search results side-by-side.

  6. When Displaying the search results that match a table column, include default value and nullable in the results.

Additionally allow Select object in Object Explorer to select the matched column.

  8. 1) The last dropdown just shows me the alias names I use to connect to databases so I have no idea which user I'm doing the search under which impacts results based on the privilleges. This should clearly show which user it's searching under please.
    2) I'm sat here right now, I've select 1 database to search against out of 300. Yet my search results coming back (after 20 minutes of waiting) keeps including ALL database. I've closed down the search window and tried again, same result. why?
    3) Needs to be able to export results from the search window…

  9. Ability to maintain settings between searches. When I switch back and forth and open and close it, it goes back to SEARCH ALL, but when I am working, I am usually focused on something and it's quite painful to have to reset the settings almost every-time., We need a checkbox option to PERSIST SETTINGS.

When I am working on something I am usually working in one or two databases but we have 50 databases, I don't need to search all those all the time. I am usually looking for where column names are within tables, I love all the features…

  10. I'd like to use my preferred monospaced font cosnsistent with SSMS. I cant find any option to change font in SQL search.

It'll be absolutely great if I could change font for SQL search results.

  12. Similar to SSMS now where it highlights the side bar with each instance of the matched string, in the results window show me each instance that text was found.
Also like the SSMS find feature, allow me to jump to each instance of the matching text within the page.

  13. The product requires you to have at least read access to all databases on provided server... because when the product opens... and db access is lacking... then USER is failing login attempts on PRODUCTION SERVERS to which user has no access. This creates GREAT FRUSTRATION for DBA and AUDITing groups.

  14. Add a stop/start button to the search process.
If you change the criteria, it immediately starts searching for that criteria before you get a chance to change some of the other parameters.
Worst case scenario it eats up all the memory and crashes SSMS if you search against "All Databases" on a production server.
Give some control back to the UI.

  15. It would be nice to have the option to show or hide some of the different columns in our search results. I rarely ever need to see the "Schema" or "Detail" columns in the search results. They are just real estate wasting columns for me 95% of the time I'm using SQL Search so it would be awesome if I could hide those for when I want to dock the SQL Search under the properties or object explorer panels.

  16. I would like to see history of my search and to be able to re use it fast, right away in search box. The idea is that almost all the time I’m working with 2-4 tables, SP and views and it will be helpful to me to get last 10 used search text at once. A text is selected when I do Navigate to Object function.

The list could be like combobox or like auto complete /with text that has been used already/.

I’m sure this will be in help for all persons using you great search tool. I’m using…

  18. When I change server SQL Search indexes all databases on that server before I can do anything, this takes ~ 1 min.

Please, if you could preselect only the database that is default for the current user on the server.

This would speed up my work considerably.
This was not an issue before multiple database search.

    Best regards.

  19. It would be nice to be able to filter results on schema. We have a number of large databases with multiple schemas. When we're looking for a common phrase or word, it would be nice to be able to select a schema or multiple schemas to narrow down the results.

  20. There's already been a suggestion to add next/previous matches, and this doesn't replace that, but helps to show where in the script the next match is (a bit like the difference highlighter on the vertical scroll bar in SQL Compare)
