Add a project setting that NOT automatically data compares new tables
When in the xml project file a new table is not available and the table exists in the database sql datacompare now automatically compares this table.
For a lot of user tables this is not the expected behaviour.
It would be nicer, if the user can configure if 'unknown' tables will be automatically compared or not.
So please add a setting that new tables are not included in the compare automatically.
Hi all,
We’ve added an option to the mappings tab in 12.1.6 which should allow you to do this. You will need to open you projects in SQL Data Compare, un-select the option and save the project. This should ensure that all future tables are not included in the comparison automatically.
We would love to hear any feedback you have on our forums:

Excellent :-)
Have been waiting for this option as well.
Having to actively 'opt-in' rather than auto-opt-in being the default, is a much better choice for CI (as we primarily used the RedGate tools for) I think.

Have to agree. Earlier versions didn't do this, and this breaks expected functionality.
Also, if you're using Data Compare in a process to copy some reference tables, new data tables get added "automagically" and you've no control over it. That's not good.
