Compare tables with different tablenames
Could you please make it possible to compare tables with different tablenames?
This should be applied to all tools.
I do believe this is possible in the SQL Server-tools.
This is also in theory possible in the Data Compare tools it just isn’t revealed in the UI yet. The plan is to make that happen this year (not sure where yet, depends on 12c support and getting Source Control for Oracle v3 with git support out).
Is to possible to test all tables at the same time when we have table names different in source and destination?
is this feature added yet?

I wished this was in the product; I have a need for it now, and am surprised it isn't a core feature. We got two tables in the same database, with one being made as a derivative of the first; and wish to compare the data between them. Can't be done currently. Argh!
This would be great for us also. We run a vendor update to an application that has a database backend. We will copy settings tables in the schema to TABLENAME_xxx_BAK prior. We then want to compare the two to make sure no settings were overwritten.
We compare data every month, in order to find diff. between versions.
We duplicate our tables and add a prefix to each of them.
So we need to compare tables with diff. names.
I would appreciate being informed , when this feature is available.

This is one functionality that is needed for my company to be able to use this tool. The reason we have different table names is because we create table via program executables, then we copy those tables to backup table name, then we run a new test version of the program and then compare those tables. Therefore, more times than not the tables reside in the same schema but they are name differently, thus I would be comparing these two tables: OUTPUT_BCK to OUTPUT.
You are correct, this is a feature in SQL Data Compare. It is a good suggestion and we will consider it for an upcoming release. Can I ask why you have tables with different names that you want to compare? Do you add a prefix to those tables?
