Azure SQL Data Warehouse and PDW

    Hi Daniel Koger, good to hear from you. Yes, this would be great for us to have. Using Azure SQLDW and in need of Version and Compare tools.

    We currently see support for Azure SQL Database but no support for Azure SQL Data Warehouse. It is very painful to push changes from Dev to higher environment.

    This is a very high priority for our team . We would love to be able to use SQL Compare with our Azure Data Warehouse

    Please support Azure Data Warehouse. As others, we have Dev/Test/Prod and deployments are manual, painful and cause a great deal of needless stress.

    This is needed very badly. Microsoft left a huge gap here. Data projects in VS do not support SQL Data Warehouse. Was hoping to use SQL Compare for this but it is also letting me down.

    We are setting up an Azure environment with multiple layers (development/test/production) based on Azure PDW and other Azure SQL Server databases. SQL Compare, Data Compare and Source Control would be very helpful.

    Microsoft don't fully support database projects for SQL Server Analytic System or for SQL data warehouse. This is a major gap and there's no indication that this support will be delivered soon. Many customers are crying out for this feature because developing code to deploy is very cumbersome and lengthy process (see this thread https://feedback.azure.com/forums/307516-sql-data-warehouse/suggestions/13313247-database-project-from-visual-studio-to-support-azu?tracking_code=5dfc6e2aaba3a1bb277e7748dafebd6d) If you would be able to develop a solution for APS / SQL data warehouse to do compares that would be amazing.

    Yes, if this were implemented, I would make a case to license this for all of our developers.
