Support Azure Active Directory Authentication
This has over 50 votes but its in SQL Prompt. This is a HUGE pain for us as we need to use AD to adhere to security policy.

Thanks to everyone for submitting feedback on this in the form of both voting and comments.
Currently, SQL Source Control does not have strong support for Azure SQL Database: as folks have noted in this item, AAD support, particularly with multi-factor authentication, is desired. Currently SQL Source Control does not work at all with Azure SQL Database with MFA enabled.
An additional issue worth mentioning is that pains with SQL Source Control performance may be worse than interacting with Azure SQL Database due to latency.
We would like to improve the user experience and support for Azure SQL Database, and doing so almost certainly involves addressing both of these issues. This is an area we are beginning to investigate more fully.

So this request was first raised in 2016!!!!
Nearly 6 years on and still no resolution.Redgate is becoming a company that is out of touch with its userbase and is quite happy to carry on collecting the money for Source Control but not add any new features that its developers actually want.
There are alternatives to look at now and I shall be advising my company to look at them.

When will this be available?

This is a big roadblock for our development team. Looking forward to AAD & MFA support. Until then, we won't be able to use your product.

This prevents our entire development team from using the product since we're all using Azure AD. Only the DBAs are able to use it since they're the only ones with SQL logins.

I would like to link a local database in SQL Source Control to our Azure DevOps repository. However, as my Azure login has MFA enabled, I am unable to do so. This is a huge pain and I do not want to use GIT as this is a poor workaround to something that should just work (how long has MFA been around?!).
Please add proper support for Azure DevOps to SQL Source Control, including full support for MFA.

This is a showstopper. Funny that the demos center around Microsoft Azure yet the ONLY way to properly do authentication is not supported.

Any update or roadmap plans Red-Gate can share regarding AAD & MFA authentication support?

Just agreeing with all of the previous posters who are saying this is a necessity for using Redgate Source Control. Any word on progress?

Why is this not possible after all of this time?
We have almost completed a company-wide migration to Azure SQL databases, and now we can't use the tools we are used to using.
SQL Source Control needs to support Active Directory authentication - with MFA support too.

This is an absolute necessity for us to continue using RedGate. If not added, we will be forced to consider alternatives for Source Control in SQL.

Agree with Dan. We have heavy security and compliance processes coming up that will necessitate some databases having AAD access only. If SQL Source Control can't support that, we'll have to look elsewhere.

This is unbelievable that something so fundamental to everything in azure redgate doesn't support yet. This adds a whole new layer of security and compliance for us if we want to use and expand the use of your tools in our environment since everyone needs to now have SQL auth accounts just to use prompt and source control.

This is a must have to integrate Redgate in the cloud while using a much preferred authentication mechanism.

Would be great to have, consider this vote a vote for AAD support in ALL toolbelt products.
