  5. I wish to view the result columns hierarchically: Database -> Schema - > Object. But at present I'm limited to the existing order, which is reverse in my mind: Object -> Schema - > Database. Bonus if the columns are draggable.

  6. A Restart SQL search button: Many times Redgate can stop working/throw an error (can be system problems, not Redgate itself), however, the search interface continues to accept input but return 0 results

A Restart Search button would really help and solve this issue without having to restart SSMS everytime it happens.

  7. Please build an unified Update Manager to manage all your product updates in accordance with the client license.
It's a very time consuming and laboring task to enter each and every program or tool and do an individual update for each one.

  8. SQL Search tries to runs the search as the logged in user but sometimes that will not work specifically on cross domain scenarios with a one way trust.
In these cases we have to use the RunAs Windows command with SSMS so we can connect to the database on the other domain.

SQL Search does not do the same behavior as most times indexing or any search will fail because it cannot connect to the database because it uses the logged in user account

  11. On my server there are dozens of databases, each project encompasses several at a time. It would be nice to save groupings of databases so that I can select multiple databases that are relevant for a particular project without sifting through a long checklist picking specific databases.

  12. We have over 200 tables and over 1000 stored procedures. I often need to search on two words. The current "Match whole words only" literally searches for "this word", but I often need it to search for all objects that have exactly "this" and "word". When I search try without the "Match whole words only", I end up with a LOT of results that have words that are similar to "this" and "word", but aren't an exact match.
I've also tinkered with the wildcards, but that only seems to apply to on character at a time. Maybe I'm doing something…

  13. Having the search start automatically with all database is frustrating when you have hundreds of databases on an instance.
You should be able to initiate the search when you're ready, or stop the one that is currently running.

  14. Currently, SQL Search does not show precision and scale for numeric/decimal data types. I erroneously thought a column was defined without those specified when I say the SQL Search results for a table I was looking at.

Please add precision and scale for decimal/numeric columns to the create table display
