Add Colors to Database/Server Icons in Object Explorer
Coloring the Tabs is very nice. I would love to have the database/server icons be colored (or at least a small colored dot on them) so I could see at a glance in Object Explorer what server the database is on.

Would love to have this. Will save us from unintentional mistakes on prod and testing environments.

I see this as a big thing, surprised there are not more votes. Refering to Tim Berneman, this can be the difference between doing something potentially damaging unintentionally and not. We have our tabs colored red for production so it is very clear, however it would be nice to have the same coloring applied to the background of the servers in the explorer pane so there is no doubt what environment I am working in when performing development and maintenance.

Great idea. If the icons can't be colored, how about the text (object names)?

We had a rookie error today because of this. It would be very useful!

I was just going to add a similar suggestion so I thought I would add it to your existing idea. I would like to see the whole line for the server info colored the same as it's tabs. For example: the background of the text "SQLServerName (SQL Server 10.50.4000.0 DOMAIN\Username)" would be green to match it's corresponding tabs.
