transparency
Hi, new feature with transparency on Ctrl in SQL Prompt 9.4.10 is extremely annoying, I'm using only Ctrl+Space to show intellisense. Please provide us option to disable this feature, or change key to Alt or Ctrl+something, this is really horrible, please fix it asap. I've to uninstall tool for now.
Many thanks for your useful feedback on this issue.
We’ve done some further work on this feature that should hopefully address your issues. This has just been released in SQL Prompt v9.4.11 (available from https://www.red-gate.com/products/sql-development/sql-prompt/).
The popups will now only go transparent after holding the Ctrl key for a short period instead of immediately. This should mitigate the issue somewhat. In addition, there is a new option (in Suggestions → Behavior → Make popups transparent when the Ctrl key is held down) to turn the feature off if it is not wanted.
Kind regards,
The Prompt Team

Same problem - CTRL+SPACE shortcut is now useless.
Also with the suggestion box automatically popping up transparent - you have to wait a second or two and then it suddenly becomes opaque. -

I wouldn't go so far as to say it makes it unusable, but the control seems somewhat buggy as it frequently just defaults transparent when I would otherwise prefer it not to, as it is effectively unreadable due to the extreme opacity used. I would prefer a scaling opacity option for the suggestion box so you could have it set to whatever you feel appropriate - or leave at 100% to remove the setting altogether.
Luckily, I frequently know my underlying data well enough to have a good idea of what things will autocomplete to at different points, but it is a little silly for a suggestion tool to require such precise knowledge of the data being referenced.
