Turn off notifications such as "Slow cached time detected".
Have the ability to turn off notifications such as "Slow cached time detected". I see it every time I connect to a database - and I work with every element in the db's so I want it all to be cached. But I do not want to see this notification every single time.
I’m pleased to say SQL Prompt 9.5.13 has just been released, which allows you to dismiss a notification forever. The next time you see “Slow cache time detected…” just click the ‘x’ and the product will never show that notification again.
You can download that version from http://download.red-gate.com/checkforupdates/SQLPrompt/SQLPrompt_9.5.13.11024.exe.
Please get in touch if you have any other issues.
Thanks
Tom

Can confirm. Nagging Nanny has been vanquished.

When will this feature be available?

This is really frustrating, I work remotely 100% of the time on servers hosted all over the world, so some level of latency is a fact of life. That this locks SSMS up until you acknowledge the alert is incredibly annoying and will drive me away from this product if not resolved shortly.

This is a dumb feature that i wish i could turn off.

Yes please let me turn this feature off. I often have to work over VPN and loading time is always slow.

This is a very annoying feature. I have zero control over the load times so this pop-up is just another slow down since I have to stop and acknowledge it.

Make it go away forever! Being nagged about this EVERY time I start SMSS is extraordinarily annoying. I can't prove it - but I also suspect that it slows other startup activities.

Any tool should have the ability to limit notifications. This one is particularly annoying and unhelpful. Even after I limited the DBs for which suggestions are loaded, the popup still appears every time SSMS starts.

I totally agree. This is the most annoying thing ever.
I'm sure I can find a replacement for snippet functionality, just so I can get rid of this annoyance.

I am also finding this feature very annoying and distracting. There should be an option to turn this off.

Please add the ability to disable this - at the moment I'm connecting to databases through two VPN pipes (one from my machine into my corporate network and one from said network into a private cloud). It will always be slow (in redgate's opinion at least). I'm fine with that. I do not want to see this notification every time I connect to a new server with each SSMS session. If it was just in the background that would be one thing, but every time the window pops up it steals focus. This is annoying to the point that I am considering dropping my license.

Provide a persistent preference setting to "not show these types of notifications"

Any updates? That annoying notification makes me want to uninstall SQL Prompt.

No, that is not enough. I would prefer an option to disable the Notifications completely.
Better yet, provide the ability to "Don't show this again." for each notification so I don't have to see it every time I start SMSS.

That is not enough for us, please see discussion at:
