compare
It would be nice to compare 2 objects (tables / stored proc ets), by right clicking on them and select to compare (lig scema compare).
I am using to to clean up an old DB with a lot of copyed code and tables.
Thank you for your suggestion.

You could say this is a duplicate of "Compare the contents of two tabs as text"

Much more useful to be able to compare the contents of two tabs as text.

I have SQL Compare 10 downloaded and fully installed - actually updated it to very latest 10.0.0.179 last evening. I just re-ran the Toolbelt installer and it tells me that the add-in is already installed.
Right-click on a user SP gives me all the SSC options, Document, show dependency, but no mention at all anything to do with Compare. It appears the add-in is "hiding"! How does one "reveal" it?
SQL Compare is listed in the Tools dropdown.
@Benny is spot on - "immediate compare of the same object in two databases via access to a right-click 'compare-left' and 'compare-right' option without reference to a named SQL Compare Project".
Naturally, any pertinent options for the compare itself would be handily stored against the source database (left-side) and accessible during comparison in case we need to tweak them.

Just to clarify.
It is not to compare 2 schemas, it is to compare 2 stored procedures in the same Database, that looks like they are almost identical.
The right clik method described by @Stephen is the functionality i like inside SSMS (i have seen it usingBeyond Compare from the explorer)This is not functionality that @Michelle mentions (i am already using that to solve other tasks)

@Stephen If you have the Red Gate SSMS add-in installed you should be able to access saved SQL Compare projects from the right-click menu on the Object Explorer, or start a new compare as you have described.
We are currently working on a slight re-design of this functionality, so I'd be interested to know if you can see your saved projects from the right-click or not. The add-in is included with the SQL Compare installer which you can download here: http://www.red-gate.com/products/sql-development/sql-compare/download-2?download=sqlcompare. More information on the current functionality (with screenshots) here: http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/Content?p=SQL%20Compare&c=SQL_Compare/help/8.50/ssmsip_deploy_project.htm&toc=SQL_Compare/help/8.50/toc1280663.htm

Good idea. This would be far more convenient than having to fire up SQL Compare for the database pair et al - I only have 54 Compare Projects but it still takes over 10 seconds to fire up just to select a project. Quick-access via right-click seems a no-brainer enhancement to make. I only have 1 vote left but this gets it. I had a personal license for Active File Compare that used the same right-click ==> select for compare, then select the other object, right click ==> compare - very fast using integration into Windows Explorer. Incorporating this in SSMS Object Explorer would sure increase productivity, especially for folks with far more servers and databases than my pitiful 8x5.
