Click to run pinned queries
I often find myself in a scenario where I am doing something like:
1. Mock some data (SQL query)
2. Perform a front end action as though I'm a user
3. Check some data (SQL query)
4. Alter a procedure (SQL query in a different window)
5. RepeatI think it would be nice if I could pin the mock/check queries to a window in the side of the manager so that I could click to run them instead of having to click in them then shift+f5 or whatever. And even more nice not having to have a second editor…

Tab Color accessibility compliant
Tab Colors add a great feature to know I am on a production server. It would be improved by being accessibility compliant. In the attached you can see black on red is harder to see than white on red.

Fix the confusing multiple usage of your company name
You should fix the use of multiple versions of your name (Red Gate | Red-Gate | Redgate | redgate | red-gate) across all software and communications. See attached picture.
We try to promote your products in our consulting company, but everyone uses a different name to refer to your company.

Update process
Hi, this is not related to SQL Prompt only, but to the update process in general.
As our company firewall is blocking the link in Help "Check for updates ...", I have to submit the "Download a 28 days trial" form and download the full "SQLToolbelt.exe".
Which is also blocked by the company proxy rules. :-(
So I have to download the file on my private PC and then copy it to my business machine.
I assume, my company is not the only one with such precautionary measures.
Maybe you can implement additional options to download updates.1 vote -
Shortcut to switch equality statements
It would be very convenient when going through legacy scripts to be able to hit a shortcut combination to switch the order of an equality statement, for example in a JOIN clause
For example, with the cursor on "A.ID = User.AccountID":
SELECT U.Username
FROM Account AS A
INNER JOIN Users AS U ON A.ID = U.AccountID AND U.Active = 1
WHERE A.ID = @AccountID AND U.ID = @UserIDBecomes
SELECT U.Username
FROM Account AS A
INNER JOIN Users AS U ON U.AccountID = A.ID AND U.Active = 1 --note, only clause where cursor is is switched.
WHERE A.ID = @AccountID…1 vote -

Add "Set as Active Connection" to Registered Servers
This is essentially the same as a forgotten SSMS request over here: https://feedback.azure.com/forums/908035/suggestions/32896039
It would be incredibly useful to be able right-click on a server-node in the Registered Servers list and change/set the connection for the current document window to that. You already have a custom context menu item in there ("Tab Color (Server)", so that hurdle is gone.
This idea is related to these, but not quite the same. In both cases, it seems they don't know about the Registered Server functionality, so they're basically asking for this idea, plus for you to re-implement that entire feature.

Add Remove Comments to Context Menu
I love the 'Remove Comments' feature, however it takes too many clicks to implement. Please add it to the context menu.

COPY AS ALTER BUTTON
Hello,
So I love the suggestion feature where I'm able to type in an object and the code appears to copy. Home run with this feature I can't thank you enough for it.
I was wondering if it would be possible to expand on it though.
Here is a sample. I'm looking to alter an object, let's say a stored proc...
I usually begin by typing EXEC <name> to trigger the suggestion for stored procs to give me the object.Once the suggestion finds the object, the script contents appears in a side window.
Using the COPY button in the…

Add "duplicate a line" feature similar to Resharper's Ctrl+L.
When cursor is placed on any line simple shortcut would insert exactly same line below and move cursor to the newly inserted. No prior selection of any kind necessary.

SSMS add a pane with a vertical list of open queries
Request title:
SSMS add a pane with a vertical list of open queries
Description:
In SSMS add a pane with a vertical list of open queries similar to the Object Explorer pane that can be docked/undocked that you can see the entire file name and quickly navigate or choose from the entire list of tabs of open query files to choose from.
So, instead of horizontal tabs where the file name and other details that are partially hidden or don’t appear if many files are open, have an option to show a vertical list of open files.

BIgger dropdown for the actions list
Selecting code then pressing CTRL brings up the action list, but only 6 items are shown in this list, meaning that for many uses, scrolling or searching (moving is required. A longer list (ideally user-settable) would mean moving mouse directly to most items and selecting is possible.

SQL Prompt storage of settings
As we are using a dedicated group of virtual machines for using our high privilege accounts, we don't know at login time on which machine we will have a session. Currently the settings of SQL Prompt are stored under “…\AppData\Local...”. After each logoff we loose these settings. According to the Microsoft standards, the settings should be stored under “…\Appdata\Roaming...”. Could this be changed in a future version?

Change the activation model to allow easier portability
As a consultant I move around to many computers. I depend on this product, but it is often a chore to keep track of where it is active. It would be a real quality of life improvement if I could just login to the machine I'm using and type in my redgate creds to activate sql prompt and get on with it. So often I'm running into an activation error, followed by a support call to find where the product is in use, then deactivate it, the activate on the new machine repeat, repeat, repeat...
I understand you make money…

Stop resetting defaults (like paths) with every Update
I spent a lot of time setting up custom directories for various products/features and its frustrating how SQL Prompt resets this with each new update forcing me to go back and change all these paths/defaults back to what they were before.

Make a
Similar to visual studio code, it would be good to have a find and replace all occurrences by highlighting what you would like to replace. This would then give you the option to type in what you want to replace. I know Sql Server has a find and replace function, however I just really like this functionality and think it would be a great addition to SQL prompt
